Glorieta Dalima

Glorieta Dalima, 1981 - 2004 Grey Mare,
was one of the finest mares ever produced in the world.
She was balanced with a great beauty. Glorieta Dalima was a fine producing mare.
Each of her foals is as exotic as you would ever want.
Their heads are sculpted beautifully with great width between the eyes and jowls.
They are truly a headhunters dream with a large jibbah and big black soulful eyes.
Athletic ability and beauty in one package? You bet, Glorieta Dalima's sons and
daughters are blessed with tremendous ability, free flowing shoulders with a wonderfully
long stride plus gorgeous heads with large eyes and naturally arched necks.
When you set eyes on them, you will know they are "Arabian".
One look at Glorieta Dalima's parents will tell the story of her quality and prepotency.
She was sired by the exceptionally magnificent Ansata Abu Nazeer, known for producing type,
beauty and athletic ability. Glorieta Gazaal, Glorieta Zaahira and Glorieta Zarifa are great
examples of the quality passed to his foals. Dalima's dam is the renowned mare Anchor Hill Hamla,
a beauty in her own right, produced some of the most sought after mares in the industry.
Dalima was bred to Apple Hillel Nisr for two foals, a son , Mahrdalim El Nisr
is her oldest Sheykh Obeyd foal and Apple Hill Alnisa, deceased, was the epitome of
beauty and elegance. The loss of this mare is indeed a sad one. She would have made a
tremendous impact on the future of Hadban breeding. But Dalima did not quit with these two
magnificent foals, she went on being bred to SAR Fadl Halim and produced another exquisite son,
Mijan Fadazz and a daughter by REA Maar Halim, Mijan Bint Dalima and a daughter by Masada Shahwan,
Zurhara Dalima. The last addition to this extremely rare group is a mare by the rare black beauty
Hallanny Mistanny, the only SOF Black Raadin Inshalla son. While it does not surprise me,
the quality and refinement of our 2003 black/grey filly is still breath-taking.
Glorieta Dalima will leave a legacy.
Her five living Sheykh Obeyd foals will continue the tradition she started,
breeding quality, sweet dispositions and outstanding athletic ability.
Dalima was riddled with Melanoma cancer,
they were throughout her body and surgery is not an option for her.
Glorieta Dalima left us and the time we spent with her will always be cherished!
Our Beautiful Matriarch!
Anchor Hill Hamla & Ansata Abu Nazeer

Anchor Hill Hamla was the foundation mare at Glorieta Ranch. She was bred to Ansata Abu Nazeer for most of her foals.
She was once bred ro *Talal for one beautiful filly, Glorieta Tala.
Late in life, Hamla made a trip to Noth Carolina where she lived the rest of her days at Brandywine Arabians.
She was a treasure and produced many foals that were sought-after and used invery sucessful breeding programs.

Ansata Abu Nazeer was bred by Ansata Arabian Stud. He was aquired as the herd sire for Glorieta Ranch and became the stuff of ledgends.
His foals were typey and correct. His daughters from anchor Hill Hamla were nothing short of spectactular.
We are bless to have two of these daughters and one son represented ehre in our herd, Glorieta Dalima and Glorieta
Rabdania and the exqusite stallion Glorieta Gazaal.
